CALROY'S STORY
On June 21st, 2022, Dimension 20 announced an auction for the minis used in their A Crown of Candy season. Almost immediately, a group of friends who loved A Crown of Candy, and Calroy specifically, began talking about the viability of getting Calroy's mini.The Calroy Collective opened commissions and began raising funds, appealing to the kindness of the Dimension 20 fan community: Help this group of people who care about Calroy bring him home, and help us send him on the world tour he deserves.
The Collective raised just over $11,000, but it wasn't enough to beat Calroy's final selling price of $11,201. Despite that, the Collective was happy about the solidarity shown by the fandom.Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Calroy fund donors who agreed to put the money toward charity in case we didn't win the auction, we were able to donate an astounding $8,580 to 5 different mutual aid funds after refunds and PayPal fees!
And that was the end of it... Until the Collective received a message from Dimension 20 in early August.Dimension 20 congratulated the Collective on their efforts and their donation to charity, and offered a surprise gift: a second Calroy mini, made specially by Rick Perry.That mini has now arrived, and is beginning his trek around the world. OUR MISSION
It's simple! Dimension 20, and the Dimension 20 community, have been nothing but fantastic and generous. You have had our backs 100% of the way. We wanted to give back some of that excitement now that Calroy's world tour can really happen!We plan to send the Calroy mini all over the world - from New York City to London, from Sydney to Toronto! Everywhere he visits, we will share his journey - from documenting his exploits on Twitter to a physical photo album that will travel with him!
We will be uploading pictures of his journey to the @whereiscalroy twitter! Calroy will have a suitcase that contains him, his display case, a Polaroid camera to document his journey, and a travelogue. Everyone can also add little trinkets and souvenirs for him to bring along on his world tour.When he's ready to move on, we will have his keepers fill out an interview card about Calroy's visit with them!

Q: is this a real Calroy mini?
A: Yes! He is a 100% authentic, Rick Perry made mini. He was generously commissioned for us at no cost and came in his own official D20 display case!Q: Can I have Calroy mailed to me?
A: Calroy will be making his way around the world with a group of trusted keepers! For safety's sake, we have no plans for him to be mailed to anyone else at the moment.Q: How will you keep Calroy safe on his travels?
A: If possible, Calroy will be making his way around the world in person. If he has to be shipped, he will be shipped in the safest way possible. He will hopefully never get lost in the mail - but we are purchasing a GPS tracker for him so we will know if he does!Q: Who are you guys?
A: You might know us as HLCYN - we are a group of friends who have been involved in the Dimension 20 community since early 2020! Collectively, we've organized fandom events, created fanart, songs, and contributed multiple zines to the fandom.
One of us in particular - sam @kindlestuck, (who also ran D20 Zine Jam, D20 Exchange, co-modded Calorum Cookbook and CALZINE along with eames @msmegalodon), was the mastermind behind the Calroy Collective!
